It is good that kateeb explained we can recite quran and send them to our relatives. On the other hand, he called 9th day, 40th day as HARAAM. Nobody say that 40th day is a must, when katheeb says it is allowed, then 40th day is not haaramm.but sticking to it that it is must is bidah.Allah knows best.
